The Infiniti G35 (V35) is powered by Nissan's naturally aspirated 3.5L VQ35DE V6, producing up to 298 hp and 268 lb-ft of torque, paired with a 6-speed manual or 5-speed automatic transmission and rear-wheel drive. Its chassis uses a front-midship layout, independent suspension, four-wheel disc brakes, and a near 50:50 weight distribution, with an all-wheel-drive version also available.
The G35 combined the high-revving VQ V6, rear-wheel drive, manual transmission, and relatively compact chassis to create a sport sedan and coupe with strong performance potential. Its front-midship layout and responsive suspension helped establish the V35 as an important Japanese alternative to the BMW 3-Series while also providing a strong foundation for aftermarket performance modifications.
