The Ferrari F40 (1987–1992) is powered by a 2.9L twin-turbocharged Tipo F120A V8 producing 471 hp and 426 lb-ft of torque, paired with a 5-speed manual transmission and rear-wheel drive. Its lightweight construction combines a tubular steel chassis with Kevlar, carbon-fiber, and aluminum body panels, while the suspension, brakes, and aerodynamic package were developed around high-speed performance and weight reduction.
