The Dodge Viper ACR is the track-focused road version of the fourth-generation Viper, powered by an 8.4L naturally aspirated V10 producing 600 hp and 560 lb-ft of torque through a 6-speed manual transmission and rear-wheel drive. Its chassis features adjustable KW coilover suspension, larger Brembo brakes, lightweight wheels, and two-piece brake rotors, while the aerodynamic package adds a large rear wing, front splitter, rear diffuser, and adjustable canards.
The ACR's performance comes largely from its ability to generate and control aerodynamic load without relying on forced induction or complex electronic systems. Its adjustable dampers, massive rear wing, carbon-fiber front splitter, extreme tire package, and track-oriented suspension calibration were developed to improve cornering speed and braking stability while retaining the Viper's naturally aspirated V10 and 6-speed manual drivetrain.
