The Chrysler Crossfire (2004–2008) is a rear-wheel-drive performance car based on the Mercedes-Benz SLK (R170) platform, using a 3.2L naturally aspirated V6 producing 215 hp and 229 lb-ft of torque in standard form. It was offered with a 6-speed manual or 5-speed automatic transmission, while the chassis uses independent suspension, four-wheel disc brakes, and a multilink rear setup.

The higher-performance Crossfire SRT-6 added a supercharged 3.2L V6 producing 330 hp, along with revised suspension, larger brakes, wider tires, and additional aerodynamic hardware. Its Mercedes-derived chassis, rear-wheel-drive layout, compact dimensions, and distinctive design gave the Crossfire a different character from Chrysler's larger performance cars of the same period.
