The Chevrolet Corvette Z06 (C6) is defined by its 7.0L LS7 naturally aspirated V8, producing 505 hp and 470 lb-ft of torque. Developed with lightweight construction and high-rpm performance in mind, the LS7 uses a dry-sump lubrication system, titanium connecting rods and intake valves, CNC-ported cylinder heads, and a 7,000-rpm redline, making it one of the most distinctive naturally aspirated V8s of its era.
The Z06 combines the LS7 with a lightweight aluminum chassis, carbon-fiber body panels, performance-tuned suspension, and large Brembo brakes to keep the focus on outright performance without relying on forced induction.
